Arts and Culture

With today’s changing work/life balance there is an increasing need for leisure and recreational buildings and Beard is no stranger to the challenge of creating state-of-the-art auditoriums, modern galleries and museums and inspirational performance environments.

Beard has built or updated sports facilities and other leisure buildings and has successfully completed numerous projects in the world of arts and culture.

Close collaboration with our customers, their design team and consultants, as well as lighting and acoustic specialists, enables us to deliver the best possible facilities, which in turn compliment and enhance the experience of the viewing public.

Our professional management approach and our strong and reliable subcontractor base enables us to deliver projects that meet our customers needs, with minimal disruption to any existing exhibits or building users.

At the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford we completed a complex restoration programme whilst allowing priceless collections to remain in-situ.  The collections are susceptible to damage from light, dust and moisture so care was an absolute necessity.  The project was completed before the museum’s re-opening deadline and typifies Beard’s dedication to detail.
