Beard adds special works and property services capabilities to extend Guildford operation

Beard is extending the range of services available to customers from its Guildford based operation with the appointment of Iain Dandy as Special Works and Property Services Manager.

Complementing Beard’s construction projects division, Iain will be responsible for developing the Special Works and Property Services business, which will focus on more intricate projects, requiring high levels of service.   This includes refurbishment and conservation works, as well as building upgrades, frequently involving occupied premises where careful phasing is required, and with confined town centre sites.

Iain, who returns to Beard, brings wide construction industry knowledge and management experience following periods with Laing, Latimer Contracting, Windsor Homes and others and holds a Building Technology degree from Brunel University.

Construction director John Youle said: “With a background in historic buildings as well as independent schools, local authorities and NHS trusts, Iain brings in depth experience to the Guildford team and enables us to enhance the range of services available to our growing Surrey customer base.”
