Marc’s early career began as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor for the Avonmouth Construction Company. Then after 11 years with Mowlem Ernest Ireland where he progressed to Special Works Manager, he joined Bluestone Plc., (part of the Morgan Sindall Group). In just over a decade Marc built successful multi-million pound businesses for Bluestone’s Swindon and Yeovil offices. He joined Beard as Swindon Construction Director in September 2007.
Marc believes that having worked in the construction business for over 28 years (17 of those spent in Swindon) he has a vast knowledge of the region and the industry. His proactive common sense approach to problems, coupled with a friendly co-operative attitude, has meant that he has built up a number of successful relationships with consultants and customers.
One of Marc’s major achievements in the industry was being part of a team that successfully delivered a new wind tunnel for Williams F1. On the personal side it was watching his daughter represent Wales in Artistic Gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Most of Marc’s spare time is taken up by being a Trustee at the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics at Melksham where over 1000 boys and girls enjoy taking part in Gymnastics.
Marc’s ideal of perfect happiness would be seeing his family grow up, healthy, wealthy and wise.
