Refurbishment We always plan, manage and carry out building activities to minimise the impact on our customer’s day-to-day operations. We have extensive experience of managing projects in close proximity to occupied environments, often with shared public areas and difficult access and we strive to minimise the impact of building works on our customer’s day-to-day operations. We carry out frequent and detailed risk assessments to make sure that sites implement all appropriate safety measures and comply with any special regulations and requirements.Below are just two examples of the types of refurbishment projects we have undertaken. Beaver House, Oxford: The successful refurbishment of the first floor of Beaver House in Oxford, creating new offices for the University's Business Services and Projects group. In an area of 1500sqm, work involved the demolition and removal of internal structures and the installation of new suspended ceilings and partition walls. Existing mechanical installations were adapted and new electrical systems designed and installed. The work was carried out in 18 weeks in two phases with partial occupation following the first phase. At all times it was important to minimise disruption to other building users and keep public areas clean and clear. Wakefield House, Swindon: A complex programme of refurbishment delivered two months early and on budget. The project involved the strip out of a 23,000 sq ft ground floor restaurant area and high specification refurbishment to form new offices, with a turnkey package of furniture and IT services for Nationwide Building Society.
